BOTOX^® is a simple, nonsurgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people from 18 to 65 years of age. It is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).  BOTOX^® is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those frown lines between the brows to form over time.  BOTOX^® can reduce the moderate to severe frown lines between your brows for up to 4 months. Within days, you may see a noticeable improvement. Results may vary. You can receive injections with BOTOX^® up to every 4 months to help you maintain the results.  If you discontinue treatment, the frown lines between your brows gradually will look like they did before treatment.

Restylane^® and Juvederm^TM are safe and natural cosmetic dermal fillers that restore fullness to the skin and correct facial wrinkles, folds and scars, as well as instantaneously enhance the volume and contour line of the lips.  Restylane^® is most often used to correct mild to moderate lines between the nose and the corner of the mouth (known as the "nasolabial folds") and "marionette lines" (the creases that run from the corners of your mouth to the bottom of your chin).  Juvederm^TM is commonly used to add volume to the lips and to effectively smooth away small wrinkles around the mouth.  Both of these cosmetic dermal fillers are FDA approved, non-animal, biodegradable gels, based on hyaluronic acid - a naturally occurring substance found in human cells.

Using a local anesthetic (Lidocaine) for your comfort, the gel is injected into the skin in small amounts with a very fine needle. The result is immediate and produces a long-lasting, natural enhancement that is gentle and safe to your skin.  More than 27 million patients have been treated with dermal fillers safely and effectively. Side effects may include temporary bruising, localized swelling, infection or cold-sore like eruption at injection site. Rarely patients may have an allergic reaction.  Restylane^® and Juvederm^TM are long-lasting, but not permanent. Restylane® usually lasts at least 9 months and Juvederm^TM could last up to 12 months. Any of these treatments may be touched-up sooner to extend the results.
